What Is Your Business Worth?

Get an instant price range based on what Colorado buyers are paying in your industry. Then talk to a broker for an exact number.

There is no simple formula for what a business is worth. Value depends on seller’s discretionary earnings (SDE), EBITDA, sales and margins, along with the owner’s experience, the lease and the industry. Two similar businesses can sell for very different prices, and a number from an online calculator can cost you real money. A broker who has closed deals in your industry can tell you what buyers will actually pay

Our 8 Step Process

6

Handover

1 Initial Meeting

It starts with a confidential, no obligation conversation. We learn about your business, your goals and your timeline, and you learn exactly how we work and what to expect.

2 Valuation & Financials

You complete our Business Valuation Intake (BVI), and our team analyzes your financials to determine what your business is truly worth in today’s market.

3 Marketing & Exposure

Our team builds professional marketing materials and takes your business to market through our buyer network and national listing platforms, all without revealing its identity.

4 Buyer Vetting

We screen every inquiry so only serious, financially capable buyers ever learn the details of your business. Every buyer signs an NDA first.

5 Offers & Negotiation

We help structure and present written offers, then work through price, financing, training and transition until both sides reach an agreement that works.

6 Under Contract & Due Diligence

The buyer verifies financials, operations and contracts while earnest money is held in a neutral escrow account. We keep requests organized and deadlines on track.

7 Lease, License & Entity

We manage the approvals that let the business change hands: your lease assignment, license transfers such as liquor permits, and the buyer’s new legal entity.

8 Closing & Handover

Final documents are signed, funds transfer through escrow and you are paid. A short transition hands off operations, vendors, staff and customers.

Typical timeline: 3 to 9 months from listing to close. Approximately 30% of our listings close within the first 3 months!

What Colorado Owners Say

Business Brokerage Services, LLC place picture
4.8
Based on 16 reviews

I used Michael’s services to sell a liquor store. He was professional, thorough, realistic, and concise. The store was worth more than I would have thought on my own. I wanted to move quickly so he was able to find a buyer very quickly.

Stacey Robinson, Business Owner

Michael and his staff are absolutely excellent: honest, thorough, quick, responsive, and always available. I can say without a doubt that our deal wouldn’t have closed had it not been for them.

Tom Dempsey, Business Owner

They made a stressful process of purchasing a liquor store as smooth as could be. After a year in business, everything he told me was accurate and the business is well exceeding our expectations.

Sean Dykstra, Business Owner
